IMG_8190-webMy daughter Carly has set out upon a new journey, leaving the west coast for the east. Saying goodbye is bittersweet – I will miss her like crazy, but I look forward to watching her path leads.

Those of us who have experienced shattering adversity know so well that these are not just pat words. Having no choice when adversity strikes . . . it is then that we can either be torn apart – or keep intact the core of who we are and, ironically, become stronger and more compassionate and accessible to those around us.
